Vox Luminis

Lionel Meunier's Belgian ensemble — a global reference for 16th-, 17th- and early-18th-century vocal repertoire.

About the choir

Founded in 2004 in the Belgian town of Namur, Vox Luminis is a vocal ensemble specialising in the music of the 16th, 17th, and early 18th centuries. Under founding director Lionel Meunier, the group has won the Gramophone Recording of the Year (the first vocal ensemble ever to do so) and built a discography of acclaimed recordings of Bach, Schütz, Buxtehude, and the German repertoire of the early Baroque.
