About the choir

Founded in 1981 by Tõnu Kaljuste, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is inextricably linked with the music of composer Arvo Pärt. The choir has won multiple Grammy awards and its repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant through Renaissance polyphony to contemporary Estonian composers. Successive artistic directors have included Paul Hillier, Daniel Reuss, and Kaspars Putniņš.
