RIAS Kammerchor

Berlin's elite chamber choir — the chorale arm of RIAS Berlin, regularly singing with the Berlin Philharmonic.

About the choir

First performed in October 1948 under Herbert Froitzheim, the RIAS Kammerchor (RIAS Chamber Choir) is the chorale arm of Berlin's Radio Orchestra and Choirs. As well as being a frequent partner of the Berlin Philharmonic and other leading European orchestras, the choir's defining mission is the commissioning and championing of contemporary music for vocal ensembles. It has been led since 2017 by British conductor Justin Doyle.
