About the choir
Founded in 1980 by Hendrik Loock, the Tygerberg Children's Choir from Cape Town has won numerous gold medals at international competitions and is currently ranked #3 in the world (1,214 points) on the INTERKULTUR / Musica Mundi list. The choir is celebrated for its broad repertoire of African folk songs alongside the European choral tradition.
