About the choir
Founded in 1883 in the Rhondda Valley, Treorchy Male Voice Choir grew from informal pub gatherings into one of the world's most recognised male choral ensembles. With over 50 recordings to its name and over 140 years of touring, the choir was named in 2022 by Sir Tom Jones as the best male choir in the world. Its programme blends traditional Welsh hymns, opera choruses, and contemporary repertoire.
