About Veljessurma
Veljessurma is a pagan/folk black metal band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 2019. Their music weaves aggressive, distorted black metal with authentic Finnish folk melodies, atmospheric elements, flutes, and epic structures—drawing from grim national folklore, paganism, dark tales of witches, marauders, and ancient battles. Often compared to acts like Havukruunu, Moonsorrow, and other melodic/epic Finnish black metal outfits, they balance raw fury with haunting, heathen spirit and evocative nature mysticism.
