About Tom Evans

Tom Evans (5 June 1947 – 19 November 1983) was an English musician best known for his work as the bassist of the band Badfinger. He co-wrote their 1970 song "Without You," which has been recorded by over 180 artists — most notably Harry Nilsson and Mariah Carey. Evans joined the band in 1967 when the band was still under the name The Iveys. He would remain with the band until their breakup after the death of Pete Ham in 1975. Evans would reunite with Joey Molland after being invited to join a reformed Badfinger in 1978
