About Mike Gibbins
Mike Gibbins (born Michael George Gibbins, 12 March 1949, in Swansea, Wales; died 4 October 2005) was the drummer of the ill-fated Welsh band Badfinger. After Pete Ham's suicide, Badfinger dissolved and Gibbins began performing as session drummer for various Welsh acts, including on Bonnie Tyler's international hit "It's A Heartache". In the 1980s, Gibbins performed in various versions of a reformed Badfinger until Gibbins would retire from playing with the band in August 1989.
