About Thisfamiliarsmile
thisfamiliarsmile are a progressive math-pop band from Glasgow, UK. Their music is full of irregular timings, complex structures and yet manages to be cohesive and melodic. They make emotive music reminiscent of a more accessible mid-late 90’s emo(Sunny Day Real Estate, Get Up Kids) mixed with elements of post-hardcore. After a number of self-released demo's and EPs, Thisfamiliarsmile, released the 5 track EP - 'What kind of monster am I?'. They followed this up with a full length album
