A chemist, a physicist, two software engineers, and an English major team up to create pop music for a post-apocalyptic society. Equal parts technical and simplistic, heartbreaking and optimistic, the The Y Axes are a pop band from the future, where the future is now. The Y Axes is an indie pop band formed in 2011 in San Francisco. The band consists of Alexi Belchere (vocals), Devin Nelson (guitar, vocals), Kevin Ferguson (keyboards), Darryl Kay (drums), and Philip Cala (bass).
