gloomy june (formerly The Y Axes) is a California indie pop band consisting of singer Alexi Rose Belchere (she/her), guitarist Devin Nelson (they/them), bassist Jack Sundquist (he/him), and drummer Ash Hyatt (they/them). Their new moniker takes its inspiration from the cold fog that grips California at the beginning of summer; their music is floaty and introspective with strong emotive underpinning.
