They started out as a punk outfit in 1977, with Cock de Jong (guitars), Jan de Jong (drums), Rob Marienus (bass) and Theo van der Plas (vocals) as its members. When Theo left, brothers Wieb (guitars) and Bonne Zigtema (vocals) joined the band.
