About The First Steps
The FIRST STEPS came from Worlington,Suffolk,UK. Brothers Chris (Bass,vocal)and Jem Murrell (Drums) along with brothers Phil (Guitar,vocal) and Jon Thornalley (Manager,Producer) made up the band. In 1979 they released their first single "The Beat Is Back" on their own English Rose Records.A punchy PunkPop 4 chord tune backed by 2 other songs 'Let's Go Cuboids' and 'She Ain't In Love With You'. At the time there was interest in 'The Beat is Back'
