
About The Jones Girls
The Jones Girls were an American R&B vocal trio from Detroit, Michigan, consisting of sisters Brenda, Shirley, and Valorie Jones. They began recording with GM Records in 1970 and later achieved success in the late 1970s and 1980s with Philadelphia International Records under Gamble & Huff. Their best-known single was "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else" (1979), which reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a Top 5 R&B hit, earning a gold certification.
