
About Angela Bofill
Angela Tomasa Bofill (May 2, 1954 – June 13, 2024) was an American singer, songwriter, and composer. Born in Brooklyn, New York City, to a Cuban father and a Puerto Rican mother, she was raised in The Bronx and exposed to Latin music as well as American performers. Bofill studied classical music and sang in New York City's All City Chorus before attending Hunter College High School, graduating in 1972, and later earning a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music in 1976.
