About The Elementary Penguins
The Elementary Penguins were formed in Amsterdam after singer and bass player Dale Wathey responded to a call in a supermarket by guitarist Jan-Paul Kooistra. Shortly thereafter drummer Maurits Huijgen joined the band on the advice of Bram Kniest and Teun Hieltjes of the band Go Back to the Zoo, who are friends with Kooistra, because Huijgen was their roadie. The name of the band comes from the song I Am the Walrus by The Beatles.
