Taymir makes authentic pop songs in the 60’s beat tradition, with the balls of the Arctic Monkeys and the edge of The Strokes. A few years ago, Quinten Meiresonne and Bas Prins started writing and performing '60’s pop songs' as 'The Consolers'. Within no time, they became a successful local band. They got an international record deal offered and played loads of great shows. However, The Consolers pulled the plug… “We had the feeling that we should make NEW music and we didn't want The Consolers to become kind of a 60’s gimmick”
