About The Dutch Boys
De Dutch Boys (later, with an English article, The Dutch Boys) was a Dutch party/novelty trio from the village of Zwartemeer, The Netherlands, comprising Henk de Roo, Jans Hoogeveen and Cor Maatje and best known for their Dutch chart hits 'Boer Harms' (#10 in 1982) and 'Amerika en Olde Pekela' (#20 in 1983). Most of their songs were sung in the regional dialect of the Dutch province of Drenthe. The Dutch Boys were active between 1972 an 2024, on and off, as a party act, especially in the eastern parts of The Netherlands.
