About Sebastian Vredemann de Vries
Sebastiaen Vredeman de Vries or Sebastian Vreedman, probably a brother of Jan Vredeman de Vries, is a composer of the former Netherlands, who lived in the second half of the 16th century. Respectively in 1568 and 1569, the Louvanist publisher Pierre Phalèse published two books of Vredeman's cister, namely the Nova longeque elegantissima cithara ludenda carmina and the Carmina quæ Cythara pulsantur liber secundus per Seb. Vreedman Mechliniensum.
