Museum of Devotion formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1986. The original lineup included James Cooper on vocals, guitar, drum machine and keyboards; and Robert Anderson on lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and programming. The first Museum of Devotion album, “…to the Pink Period” was recorded in 1988. The pink period sessions were recorded at Old School House Studios in Ann Arbor, Michigan, under the record label Lively Arts, a division of New Rose Records in Paris, France.
