Moon Pie was formed in 2007 by multi-instrumentalists and former Death Chants members Michael Knight and Alison Stout. Their music has been described as "psychedelic alien dreampop" and "space pop by awkward earthlings." The awkward earthlings of Moon Pie make their home in Washington, DC.
