About Matthew John Band
Singer-songwriter Matthew John (born Matthew John Dorman, San Diego, California) is currently based in Helsinki, Finland. Matthew John grew up in Santa Barbara, California, where he earned a PhD in ethnomusicology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to completion of his doctoral studies, Matthew earned a master's degree in music at San Diego State University. He regularly performs solo and in band format (sometimes as Matthew John Band).
