About Lorenz Sichart
Lorenz Sichart (1694–1771) was a German organist, composer, and copyist active in Nürnberg. Born and later dying in the city, he is documented in modern authority records as organist of Nürnberg’s Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). Bibliographical tradition also associates his name with printed keyboard and organ music, including titles described as Sonata e Fuga per il Cembalo and a Sonata per l’organo linked with Nürnberg’s “Santa Maria.”
