About Johann Melchior Dreyer
Johann Melchior Dreyer (b. Rőttingen, Wiirttemberg, June 24, 1747; d. Ellwangen, March 22, 1824) was a German organist and composer. He studied in Ellwangen, where he became a church organist. He wrote chiefly church music. Among his publ. works are 18 Missae breves (1790–1802), 24 Hymni brevissimi ad vesperas (1791), Te Deum (1800), and organ music.
