
About Kees van Kalmthout
Kees van Kalmthout (full name: Cornelis Adrianus Jozef Maria van Kalmthout, born 29 April 1948 in The Hague, The Netherlands; died 16 November 1991 in Tilburg, The Netherlands) was a Dutch painter and poet, mostly associated with the new wave years of the early 1980s. In those years he was also the manager of Tilburg 'Nederwave' outfit MAM, fronted by Tom America. Van Kalmthout made some recordings under his own name. He died in 1991 of cardiac arrest.
