
Josep Pujol (fl. 1734 – 1798) was a Catalan composer and maestro de capilla. There is really little known about Pujol's life. The first news that is available is a mention of Querol, who cites the libretto of an oratory, La nave del mercader, which would have been set to music by Pujol in 1734, but the first direct news is from 1737, when the name of Pujol appears on the cover of some Easter lamentations.
