José Alejandro Morales was born the 19th of March 1913 in Socorro (Colombia) and died the 22 of September 1978 in Bogotá. One of the most well known Composers of the Colombian Folklore. Among other compositions are Pescador, lucero y río, Campesina Santandereana, Señora Bucaramanga, María Antonia, Doña Rosario and Pueblito Viejo.
