
About Garzón y Collazos
In the mid-1930s, Darío Garzón was part of the musical group The Four Merry Boys of Ibagué . In 1937, when one of the guitarists left the group, Eduardo Collazos joined as a replacement. After the dissolution of the group at the end of 1938 and, because of their similar musical Garzón and Collazos interests, they decided to form a duo in which they would play the guitar and the tiple , respectively. In 1950 they moved to Bogotá , where they started recording with the Sonolux record company in its heyday.
