About John Pattison
A singer-songwriter from Blyth, North-East England, John writes music called Loftstep, so-called because he writes and records in his loft. His songs display clear influences of alternative rock mainstays such as Radiohead, Bloc Party and Blur, with complex chord progressions and unorthodox but memorable hooks. His latest work is acoustic based with electronic influences. John's vocals are one of the most distinctive aspects of his music, moving from delicate falsetto one moment to gravelly, blues-inspired moan the next.
