There are at least three artists with the name John Edwards. 1) John Edwards (born 25 December 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States) was an American soul singer. Once an extremely popular regional attraction, Edwards moved from the local circuit to the big time when he joined the Detroit Spinners. Edwards joined the Spinners full-time in 1977 and remained with them until 2000 when he suffered a debilitating stroke and was forced to retire.
