Eddie Giles (Elbert Wiggins Giles, March 17, 1938 - February 5, 2019) was an American southern soul and gospel singer, songwriter and guitarist. Eddy Giles was born in Frierson, Louisiana, near Shreveport. Giles sang in local gospel groups like the Humming Bees and The Pilgrim Jubilees in his youth. Eddie Giles and Murco label owner Dee Marais knew each other from the late 1950s. Dee Marais settled in Shreveport where he started a career in the music business
