Giovanni Battista Trabattone was born in Ivrea around 1600. On 10 January 1631 he signed an agreement with the chapter of the cathedral of S. Evasio in Casale Monferrato to hold the position of chapel master for a year. The following year, on 1 September, he became choirmaster in the cathedral of S.
