About Funda Arar

Funda Arar (born 8 April 1975 in Ankara, Turkey) is a Turkish singer known for her versatility in pop, Anatolian rock, and classical Turkish music. Arar spent her childhood in Ankara and later lived in Muğla and Adapazarı due to her father’s job. She began studying mandolin and solfège from a young age. In 1992, she passed the entrance exam to the Turkish Music Conservatory at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and graduated from there. After graduation, she worked as a music teacher for two years while also performing.
