About Ferkat Al Ard
Ferkat Al Ard were a Lebanese band formed in the mid-1970s. They released three albums , with 1979's أغنية (Oghneya) - being their most acclaimed and known album - including arrangements by زياد الرحباني [Ziad Rahbani] and political lyrics that were strongly left-wing, often borrowing from Palestinian poets, such as the like of Samih Al Qasim and Mahmoud Darwish. Oghneya was Re-popularized after German Label Habibi Funk reissued the album in 2022
