Ziad Rahbani (Arabic: زياد الرحباني, January 1956 – 26 July 2025) was a renowned Lebanese singer-songwriter, pianist, playwright, and political commentator. The son of legendary singer Fairouz and composer Assi Rahbani—pioneers of modern Arabic music—Ziad emerged as a prominent figure in Lebanon's cultural and political landscape. Known for his sharp wit and bold social commentary, Rahbani's musicals often satirized Lebanese politics, particularly during and after the Lebanese Civil War.
