About Famous Imposters
Famous Imposters were a Sunderland-based anarcho-punk and post-punk band composed of Anth Irwin, Andy, and Raf. Though the band were politically anarchist "peace-punks", stylistically, they were very different than their anarcho-punk contemporaries, making forays into goth rock, jangle pop, and post-punk. From Listen and Understand: After the Sub-Zeros split into Societies Vultures and Kulturkampf in 1982, part of Societies Vultures evolved into The Famous Imposters with some new faces.
