Christian Gotthilf Tag (born April 2, 1735 in Beierfeld; died July 19, 1811 in Niederzwönitz) was a Protestant cantor and composer. Tag was born in 1735 as the son of the Beierfeld cantor and school teacher Christian Gottlob Tag. After his first school education in his homeland in the Ore Mountains, he attended the Dresden Kreuzschule as a free student , where he received music training as an alumnus and choir singer under Gottfried August Homilius.
