About Better Daze
Better Daze partners Andrew Jervis and Paul Scriver first met up when Scriver, saxophonist and leader of soul jazz band Neomythic, came on to Jervis' Friday night radio show on college station KUSF. Discovering that they both had an interest in mixing samples and live instrumentation, they decided to try to work together. "I wanted to make something that incorporated all of the new things that were going on [in music] but in a jazzy, musical way so that there's depth to it and it's not just a breakbeat and a loop.
