About Bette Bright
Bette Bright was one of the original Vocalists in the Liverpool Art Rock Band Deaf School. When the group folded in the late seventies Bette went on to sing a solo album ‘Rhythm Breaks the Ice’ produced by ex Deaf School member Clive Langer. Bette Bright recorded as both Bette Bright, and Bette Bright and The Illuminations. In 1982 she married Suggs from Madness and stopped releasing music. A small Deaf School re-union tour in 1988 gave birth to a live Deaf School album ‘2nd Coming: Liverpool ‘88’.
