About Fay Ray

Formed in Bangor, North Wales in 1980 from the ashes of Hot Water and proto-punk band Dick Dick & the Dicks. Fay Ray were: Sheila Brook - vocals/guitar Owen Hughes - drums John Lovering - guitars Jeff Taylor - sax/vocals Tony Travis - bass/vocals The band signed to Surrey Sound Records (owned by Police producer, Nigel Gray) in 1981 after being spotted at first London gig supporting Killing Joke. Went on to record debut single "Family Affairs"
