About Argile African Heat
Originally organized by German flute player Dieter Weberpals and Malian n'goni and djembe player Barry Sangare for a single German tour in 1988, the intercultural performances were so successful that further tours soon followed. Their first CD, Koko, was published in 1991, followed by invitations to play in France, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. In 1995 their second CD, Idjo, was included on European World Music Charts best presentations of the year and led to their performing in other European countries including Italy and Spain.
