About Aldus Roger
Cajun musician Aldus Roger was born on February 10, 1915, in Carencro, Louisiana. He learned to play the accordion at age eight by watching other Cajun musicians, including his father, Francis, and renowned Cajun artist Lawrence Walker. A carpenter by day, Roger led the Lafayette Playboys for over twenty years. During the late 1950s and 1960s, he hosted his own music program on KLFY-TV 10 in Lafayette. Among his many recordings are "KLFY Waltz," "Channel 10 Two Step," "Mardi Gras Dance," and "Lafayette Two Step.
