
About Ahmad Alaadeen
Since 1948 in Kansas City, Jazz legend Alaadeen has been playing his saxophone with many of the greatest names in music including Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Motown stars Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Four Tops, Sam Cooke, and contemporaries T. S. Monk. Leader and composer, Alaadeen has acquired a bevy of awards including Missouri Artist Award, Missouri Governor’s Humanities Award, The Jazz Heritage Award, Musician Magazines’ Best Unsigned Band.
