Abraham Benjamin de Villiers is a South African former cricket batter and wicket-keeper who represented South Africa from 2004 to 2018. Regarded as one of the best batters of his generation, he accumulated over 18,000 career runs in Tests and One Day Internationals (ODIs) combined, averaging over 50 in both the formats. As of June 2026 for South Africa, de Villiers is the fourth-highest run-scorer in Tests and the second-highest in ODIs. He served as the captain of South Africa for several matches in the 2010s in Tests, ODIs and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
