About Zura Zaj
Zura Zaj is a young music quartet from Ghent, consisting of Jonathan (french horn, recordings), Lieze (violin, melodica), Pieter-Jan (double bass, guitar) and Gowaart (guitar, percussion), who started playing music together somewhere in the summer of 2009. They play a mixture of all kinds of different styles, starting from a postrock base, but with a lot of elements of jazz, classical and folk, fitting it all together in chamber music style. Variatian is a central point in their music, as are improvisation and spontaneity.
