About Zhao Liangshan

Zhao Liangshan is the most acclaimed player of the xun, a Chinese ocarina-like instrument. The xun was initially made of stone or bone, and later of clay or ceramic. Zhao Liangshan, Liaoning Heishan County, was born in 1939, graduated in 1963 from Central Conservatory of Music music department. In 1986 he transferred to the Music Department of Xiamen University, member of China Musician Association, Chinese national orchestral association. Incumbent Fujian province national pipe string Association vice president.
