About Yvonne Gage
b. 1959, Chicago, USA. When aged only 14 Gage joined the Soulettes with whom she stayed until she was 21. During this period they changed their name to First Love and then Love, subsequently recording an album for Chycago International Music in 1980. However, by then Gage had departed to join the backing singers for Captain Sky. She made her solo debut with ‘Garden Of Eve’ in 1981 on Atlantic Records to little reaction. Gage then sang with new wave group Ministry, appearing in shows with Madness, Police and Culture Club.
