
About Yoshihiro Kanno
Romanized spelling of 菅野由弘. Yoshihiro Kanno is a Japanese composer born in Tokyo in 1953, most well-known for the soundtrack to the 1985 film Angel's Egg, by written and animated by Mamoru Oshii. In 1979, he won the Prince Pierre of Monaco Musical Composition Award for his "String Quartet," and in 1980 graduated from the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music with a Master's Degree. His work for ballet, "Mandala," after being premiered in Tokyo in 1987
