About Yaksa
Formed under the name Nevermind in Sichuan in 1995, the band changed their name into Yaksa (夜叉) and moved to Beijing in March 1997. Yaksa became more and more involved in the underground scene of Beijing until at the end of 1999, it stood out as the representative hardcore band of Beijing. They are regarded as underground legends in the genres of Chinese rapcore and metalcore (since 2004), having performed hundreds of times in local clubs and venues and are a regular guest at the Midi Music Festival in Beijing.
