About X Factor
1) X Factor was a proto-hardcore punk band formed in 1982 with Bill Knapp on drums, Steve Schneider playing guitar and vocals, and Bill Rhinewald on bass. In time, the line-up changed to Bill on drums, Steve on guitar, Dave Ware on bass, and John "Ziggy" Viens on vocals. Members went on to play in bands such as 76%Uncertain, Reflex from Pain, and ADX. 2) The X Factor is a television music talent show franchise originating in the United Kingdom, where it was devised as a replacement for the massively successful Pop Idol.
